Our goal is to host an excellent sports tournament--whether that be basketball, volleyball or soccer.
Every tournament includes a time when a powerful gospel message is preached to the inmates.
We seek to disciple inmates through Bible courses, a pen pal program and church-led Bible studies inside the prison.
SPORTS TOURNAMENT OPTIONS
Currently, Inside the Lines holds 3 types of tournaments inside institutions around the United States.
There is never a financial cost to the institution to host a tournament. To find out more about the details of each tournament click on the logo of a specific sport.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Inside the Lines cannot operate without the sacrificial help of our volunteers. As we travel all over the United States, our goal is to gather volunteers from independent Baptist or Bible churches to help with the prison in their area. We need men and women to play, help keep score, or officiate. If you have no sports background, then simply come to help counsel after the gospel message. It will renew your burden for the lost! Check out the video to hear testimonies from other volunteers.
Volunteer Page and Form
Our inmate population appreciates the opportunity to be treated as men and to be able to participate in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. They look forward to the next time that you are able to visit Danville Correctional Center and bring them words of inspiration. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Again, thanks to you and your volunteers for your efforts in providing a positive light in an otherwise not so positive environment. If there is anything I can do for you that would help facilitate you going to other institutions please feel free to ask. I would definitely recommend your visit.
This group recently conducted its program in several of our prisons within the State of Alabama. The comments from the head administrators, Wardens of each facility were positive. Many Wardens asked for their return next year. The incarcerated shared equal enthusiasm regarding this program. The interaction of the volunteers with the inmates was exemplary and left the inmates encouraged. We not only desire them to return next year, but look to expand the locations to include more prisons.
EAST ST. LOUIS, IL
Inside the Lines was able to reach men through the tournament that wouldn’t come to a Chapel service. Some started to attend after the tournament. The gospel was presented in a very practical way that the inmates understood. We have scheduled them to come back this year to run another tournament. We had around 60 inmates who participated and 27 of them met with me afterward to discuss their new found faith in Jesus Christ.
